Over the next three days, Expo West promises to deliver more than 350 hours of CE for every role and experience level. The program focuses on three core competencies—disease diagnosis, treatment and management; clinical application of products; and healthy business solutions—that connect class-room instruction to hands-on knowledge in Vision Expo’s expansive exhibit hall. “Vision Expo has several new courses and tracks at this year’s show,” according to show organizers. “Over the next two days, we’ll introduce a Spectacle Lens Specialist Track, Glaucoma, Macular Degenera-tion and Nutritional Supplements, Sunwear, CXO Certifi cate Program and wellness. Award Winners NEW YORK— Vision Monday has announced the winners of their 3rd Annual Dispensing and Retail Excellence (D.A.R.E.) Awards sponsored by Euro-pa International. The D.A.R.E. Awards honor dar-ing optical retailers and dispensers from the U.S. and Canada in six different categories, with an addi-tional winner, chosen by reader votes This year, readers submitted entries, free of charge, from May 6 through June 14. Those submis-sions were reviewed by a panel of judges and the winner in each category was identified. The judges also selected six entries worthy of special recogni-tion to be put up for the ‘We the People’ Readers’ Vote Award. From July 1 through Aug. 9, readers voted on those entries to determine a winner. Those with the second and third highest number of votes were named Honorable Mentions.
