Eyeworks. “The Suites we always make an effort to give an l.a. Eyeworks signature look to The Suites. We have a hanging banner at the door and a vinyl logo in the windows.” Sama’s Sheila Vance also appreciates the opportunity provided by The Suites. “Out of the many shows throughout the year all over the world, The Suites at Vision Expo West present an excellent opportuni-ty for customers and exhibitors alike to gather in a homelike, relaxed environment. It’s like a reunion each year. We get together in a friendly atmo-sphere to interact and share ideas. On the last day of the show, we visit each other’s suites. It is often the only time of the year we have time to spend Continued on page 81 Expo’s Vibrancy Once Again on Display LAS VEGAS—The energy and activity evident during Vision Expo West’s ﬁ rst two days provided ample proof that although the national economy is still struggling, it’s business as usual for the optical industry. CE classes were ﬁ lled, and the aisles of the Sands Convention Center’s exhibit hall were buzzing with attendees eager to see hot new eyewear styles and try out the latest vision technologies. “Once again, this week has proved that International Vision Expo is a global eyecare event,” said Tom Loughran, vice president for Reed Exhibitions. “Delivering high-quality visitors over three solid days, the real power of our event lies in the sheer volume of eyecare professionals who see Vision Expo as the source for new products, technologies, ideas and education. It’s an investment that will keep their practices and are like having the most glam-orous possible booth with a spectacular view of Las Vegas. It’s great for independent brands like ours to have a space in The Suites to communicate our own distinctive voices.
